How do I use the impression kit?

Your kit includes detailed step-by-step instructions and everything you need to get started. Simply mix the blue and white putty, press the desired impression into it, and let it set.

What if I make a mistake while creating the mould?

Don’t worry if the first attempt isn’t perfect - your kit includes enough putty for three impressions, so you have room to practice. If working with young children or pets, having two people on hand can make the process easier (and treats can help when working with pets!).

💡 Tip: You can practice using the unmixed putty first - try taking an impression with the blue or white putty separately. The setting process only begins once the two colours are combined.

If you need additional putty for more than three impressions, please contact us or leave a note at checkout.

Can I use this for pet impressions?

Yes! Our kits are perfect for capturing paw prints, nose prints, or any other sweet detail from your furry family member. We've even had horse impressions! 🐾🐴🐱🐶

Can I split the kit across multiple people?

Absolutely - each kit includes enough material for up to three impressions, and you can use them for multiple individuals or pets. You can choose to:

  • have one impression on each side of a double-sided pendant
  • or even press multiple prints into one piece of putty (just make sure to press gently and evenly)

What if I need a kit urgently for a memorial piece?

We understand how important and time-sensitive these moments are. If your order is for a memorial piece, please leave a note at checkout or contact us - we’ll prioritise your kit for dispatch and ensure our communication is handled with extra care and empathy.

Can I create multiple pieces from one mould?

Absolutely. The silicone mould can be reused to create multiple items - whether you'd like matching pieces for loved ones or different styles from the same impression. We return your mould with your final jewellery, so store it safely and we can create more pieces for you at any time.

Can I customise the jewellery?

Yes! We offer different shapes, chain lengths, and the option to stamp an initial on the back of single-sided pendants.

If you’d like something more customised or unique, please contact us before placing your order - we love tailoring pieces to suit you.

What materials are used for the jewellery?

Our jewellery is handcrafted using sterling silver, 23ct gold vermeil (plated over sterling silver), and 9ct solid gold.

How long does it take to receive my jewellery?

Once we receive your impressions, please allow:

Approximately 4 weeks for sterling silver & 9ct solid gold pieces.

Gold vermeil pieces take approximately 6 weeks, due to the additional process of gold plating

Is international shipping available?

Currently, we only ship within New Zealand. If you're outside of NZ and would love to order, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to assist.

How do I care for my jewellery?

We recommend removing your jewellery before swimming, showering, or sleeping, and avoiding contact with chemicals, perfumes, and lotions. Clean gently with a soft cloth and store in a dry, closed container when not in use.

Are there any returns or refunds?

Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our jewellery, we do not offer returns for change of mind.

However, if something isn’t quite right, please contact us and we’ll always do our best to make it right.

Can I send impressions later if this is a gift?

Yes, impressions can be sent back at a later date, however please note kits are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Prepaid return labels expire after this time, and additional charges may apply to pendants due to fluctuations in precious metal prices.

What if I’m not sure what shape or metal I want yet?

We offer impression kits without a jewellery order. This is a great option if you're gifting the experience, capturing impressions during a special moment, or need time to decide on your jewellery.

When you're ready to order, simply return your impressions and we'll reach out to finalise your jewellery order.
